 SGT Belford was born in Northern Michigan on April 15th 1980. He graduated from Boyne City High School in 1998 and attended Alma College. He earned his bachelor's degree in History in 2002. After a brief foray in masonry and construction, SGT Belford joined the Army in 2004. After Basic Training at Fort Knox, Kentucky and AIT at Fort Meade, Maryland, SGT Belford graduated from Airborne School at Fort Benning, Georgia. Fort Bragg, North Carolina was the next stop where SGT Belford spent the next several years with the 49th Public Affairs Detachment (Airborne). The 49th PAD (ABN) deployed from January 2006 to January 2007. SGT Belford re-enlisted for AFN Europe and is now a member of the AFN Heidelberg team. He lives in Heidelberg with his lovely wife Lee Anne.
