Randall was born and lived for all of his 22 civilian years in the Bluegrass State of Kentucky. Between horse racing and, well, horse racing, (there’s not a lot to do in Kentucky) he somehow wandered into a recruiting station and found himself in Uncle Sam’s Army. After many sleepless nights with his lawyers and countless hours in front of a judge Randy realized he couldn’t fund his legal campaign any longer and boarded a plane for Ft. Jackson and Basic Training. After graduation, AIT at Ft. Meade reared its ugly 12 week head, but the beast was slain and Randy prepared to move on to his first duty station, Ft. Irwin. While being stationed in a desert in the middle of nowhere certainly was appealing, Randy was a little apprehensive. Fortunately, after hours spent praying, and later desperately blowing out several young children’s birthday candles, Randy got his wish and had his duty station changed to Germany. Now, a stranger in a foreign land, he prepares for his greatest challenge ever . . . remembering the exchange rate between the Euro and the dollar. Oh, and being part of the AFN Heidelberg team. It certainly should be an interesting couple of years, but everyone can be sure that Randy looks forward to serving the Heidelberg, Mannheim, and Stuttgart communities to his best abilities.
